CWTC Residential
For over 55 years, Community Workshop & Training Center Inc. has been a dedicated resource for local adults living with disabilities across Central Illinois. As a trusted not-for-profit organization, CWTC delivers targeted support across three core service areas: community services, employment services, and community integration. The organization also administers a structured community living program with 24-hour staffing support (available at select facilities and intermittent at others), professional case management, and fully coordinated ancillary care services.
To be eligible for CWTC’s specialized programs, applicants must meet the following criteria: be 18 years of age or older, carry a documented developmental disability, physical disability, or recurring mental illness, and demonstrate a clear motivation to build greater independence in their daily lives. Additional program-specific entrance requirements may apply based on the particular service or residential program being pursued.
CWTC’s Approach to Care
Individuals supported by CWTC engage in a personalized, consumer-directed planning process that empowers each resident to define their own goals and milestones. This collaborative approach actively welcomes participation from family members, close friends, and other invested parties — whenever the consumer chooses to include them. Through this person-centered framework, every Community Workshop & Training Center resident maintains meaningful, ongoing input into the specific programs and services that shape their daily life.
At CWTC, the foundational commitment is straightforward: every adult with a disability is treated with the full dignity, respect, and individualized attention they deserve — without exception.
