About CWTC Residential Programs
For over 55 years, Community Workshop & Training Center (CWTC) has been serving adults with disabilities throughout Central Illinois. As a not-for-profit organization, CWTC provides support through community services, employment services, and community integration programs designed to promote independence and improve quality of life.
CWTC also offers a comprehensive residential living program, which features comfortable 1-bedroom apartments across various locations. Depending on the site, services may include 24-hour staffing, intermittent support, case management, and coordinated care. These programs are designed to help individuals live as independently as possible while receiving the support they need.
Who Qualifies for CWTC Housing
To qualify for CWTC residential programs, individuals must:

Electric range and refrigerator included

Have a documented developmental disability, physical disability, or recurring mental illness

Demonstrate a desire to achieve greater independence
Additional eligibility requirements may apply depending on the specific program or housing option.

Can I have visitors/guests?
Yes, you may have visitors. Residents are responsible for their visitors while on the property. Guests may stay on occasion, not to exceed 14 cumulative days in 12 months.
Non-Discrimination Statement
Robert Cottingham Property Management Company and all its managed properties act in accordance with the Fair Housing Act and HUD, which prohibits discrimination in housing and housing-related transactions based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, and familial status. Residency is also in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance from HUD. Further, residency is open to all qualified, eligible persons covered under HUD’s protected classes of sexual orientation, gender identity, and marital status in accordance with any state-recognized protected classes. Finally, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance from HUD. All interested persons, applicants, tenants, and the general public will be given information on LEP (Limited English Proficiency) and asked if they need any translation assistance.
