Anyone who is 62 years or older or who would benefit from the features of our mobility-accessible units may apply for residence at Southside Manor Apartments. The building was constructed under an agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) specifically designed for low-income residents. Low-income means the family's income must be at or below 50% of the area median income. Your rent will be approximately thirty percent (30%) of the adjusted monthly income of all residents in your unit.

  • How many apartments are at your facility?

    100 one-bedroom apartments with 00 being mobility accessible apartments.

  • Can I have a vehicle on site?

    Yes, parking is available in the East and West Side parking lots on a first­ come first-serve basis.

  • What arrangements have been made concerning laundry facilities?

    There is a central laundry room containing coin operated washers and dryers.

  • Do you allow pets?

    Yes, please let the office know if you wish to bring a pet to the facility. Please refer to the Pet Policy for more guidance.

  • Can I see an apartment?

    Yes, please contact the office at (309) 676- 5087 to set up a tour.

  • Will there be any activities at the facility?

    Bingo is scheduled twice monthly.

  • Is this a smoke free environment?

    No, at this point residents are allowed to smoke in their apartments. According to State and Local laws, you must be 15 feet from any door or window. Please note, HUD considers marijuana a banned substance under federal guidelines.

  • Does the facility provide Wi-Fi and cable TV?

    Cable TV is available in the community room. Wi-Fi is currently unavailable.

  • Can I have visitors/guests?

    Yes, you may have visitors. Residents are responsible for their visitors while on the property. Guests may stay on occasion not to exceed 14 cumulative days in a 12-month period. Guests must sign in and out at the guard's station.
