Anyone who is 62 years or older or who would benefit from the features of our mobility-accessible units may apply for residence at St. Sharbel Village Apartments Phase I. The building was constructed under an agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) specifically designed for low-income residents. Please contact the office for current income limits to determine if your income qualifies.Your rent will be approximately thirty percent (30%) of the adjusted monthly income of all residents in the unit.

  • How many apartments are at your facility?

    51 one-bedroom apartments with 6 being mobility accessible apartments and 18 efficiency apartments with 2 being mobility accessible apartments.

  • Can I have a vehicle on site?

    Yes, parking is available in the designated marked parking spaces on a first-come first-serve basis.

  • What arrangements have been made concerning laundry facilities?

    There is a central laundry room containing coin operated washers and dryers. One-bedroom units have washer and dryer hookups.

  • Do you allow pets?

    Yes, please let the office know if you wish to bring a pet to the facility. Please refer to the Pet Policy for more guidance.

  • Can I see an apartment?

    Yes, please contact the office at (309) 688- 00398 to set up a tour.

  • Will there be any activities at the facility?

    St. Sharbel Phase I has many functions in the community room including potlucks, Neighborhood House lunches, Bingo, etc.

  • Is this a smoke free environment?

    No, at this point residents are allowed to smoke in their apartments. According to State and Local laws, you must be 15 feet from any door or window. Please note, HUD considers marijuana a banned substance under federal guidelines.

  • Does the facility provide Wi-Fi and cable TV?

    Cable TV is available in the community room.

  • Can I have visitors/guests?

    Yes, you may have visitors. Residents are responsible for their visitors while on the property. Guests may stay on occasion not to exceed 14 cumulative days in a 12-month period.

Anyone who is 62 years or older may apply for residence at St. Sharbel Village Apartments Phase II. The building was constructed under an agreement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) specifically designed for low-income residents. Low-income means the family's income must be at or below 50% of the area median income. Your rent will be approximately thirty percent (30%) of the adjusted monthly income of all residents in the unit.
